What You Do:
- Let your children make a puppet of themselves. They can create the facial features on the bag and yarn for hair. Additionally they can use your fabrics to make clothes for their puppet.
Shiny Paintings

What You Need:
- Plastic Spoons
- Aluminum foil
- Food Coloring
- Corn Syrup
What You Do:
- Allow your children to paint on aluminum with a mixture of food coloring and corn syrup. Lay it flat and you have shinny paintings. They can even see a reflection of themselves in the painting

What You Do:
- Have your children look in mirror and create their face on a paper plate.
My Placemat

What You Need:
- Construction Paper
- Paint
- Picture of Child
- Glue
What You Do:
- Give each child a piece of paper. Let the children put their handprint on the paper. They can also decorate the paper any way that they want. Finally put their picture and name somewhere on the page and laminate it. Use the placemats during meals and snack for your children.
My Paper Bag House

What You Do:
- Have the children create their house using a paper bag. They can draw windows, doors, and shrubbery. Creative kids may even make a roof out of the construction paper
My Me Quilt

What You Need:
- Construction Paper
- Crayons/Markers
- Glue
- Cardboard
What You Do:
- Have the children bring in a picture (be shure to tell the parents that they will not get the picture back) and have the children cut the picture into pieces. Then have them make a quilt by gluing small pieces of construction paper and the pieces of the picture.
Silhouette Art

What You Need:
- Paper
- Bright Light
- Glue
- Art Supplies of your choice
What You Do:
- Use a bright light, a projector, or the sun and take a piece of construction paper and trace the silhouette of your children on the paper. Cut out the siloute and place a piece of black paper under it. Glue it onto a large piece of colored paper. Now let the children decorate the white frame.
All About Me Week Book

During All About me week make a book. Just do these pages each day:Day 1: A Self Portrait
Day 2: Put Blue and Green Fingerprints in a circle. Inside the circle write my fingerprints are different from everyone's in the whole wide world.
Day 3: My favorite color, make a collage of magazine clipping are of your favorite colors
Day 4: Put the childs handprint on a piece of paper, write the words to "I Am Special" on the page
Day 5: Write how old the child is, how tall the child is, and how much they weigh on a piece of paper

- Trace and cut out your children from the paper. Let them go through magazines and cut out things that they like. They can then paste them on the cut out and you have a collage of the child
Smiley Face Necklaces

- Noodles
- Yarn
- Glue
What You Do:

Cut out circle shapes from many different colors of paper. Encourage the children draw a face on a circle. Punch two holes near the top of the circle. Supply the children with noodles, yarn and their smiley face to make a necklace.
