What You Do:

Set a large appliance box in the art area. Encourage the children to create an airplane, train, boat, or car to take them on their own vacation.

Great Idea

Use Vegetables for art supplies.

Cut a cucumber in half, and then make a design on the meat of it, let your children use it as a stamp
Use Asparagus for paint brushes
Use Carrots to make lines
Use Corn on the Cob for roller painting.

My Vegetable Garden

Have your children draw pictures of all of the vegetables that they would like to eat. For a real neat effect have them paint these in a garden.

Vegetable Leaf Tie Dye

What You Need:

What You Do:

Put the leaves out on the floor or counter. Put the cloth on top of the leaves and flowers. Then hit the cloth with the mallet until the leaves and Flowers are ground up. This will put a neat pattern on the cloth. If your brave you can let the children try it

Warning: Very Messy. Watch children with Mallets closely.

Foot Vegetable

Paint the bottom of the child's foot and let them put it on paper. They can then add a stem and what other decoration they choose to add to the picture.
