What You Need:
- Paper Plates
- Streamers
- Glitter
- Paint and Markers
What You Do:
- Hand out paper plates
and have your children draw peace signs on them. Then have your children decorate
the peace sign with paint and glitter. Next they can gang streamers from the
peace signs

- Have your children draw a picture of what they think the world will be like if their was no fighting in the world.
Dove Collage

What You Do:
- Give each child a precut (or have them cut their own) dove on white construction paper and let your children collage it with a variety of materials. Talk about how the dove represents peace.
Hand Paint

What You Do:
- Give your children peach, white, brown, black, and orange paint (add soap to make it stain proof). Have them mix what they perceive their skin color is. Then have them paint a friend's hand and then put a print on a heart shaped piece of paper. You can put these on a bulletin board with the heading, "Love Comes in Many Colors" or "Lend Me A Hand, My Wonderful Friend"
Paper Doll Chain

What You Do:
- Cut out life-size cutouts of your children. Have them paint them. Put them together in a large paper doll chain with the heading "We are all One Class, We are all Friends"
Hand Print Frame

- Give each child a piece of construction paper. Have them put a handprint in the center of the paper. Then have all of your children make a handprint frame around the child's print. You can put these up on a bulletin board with the heading hands in friendship.
Hands Wreath

What You Need:

- Paper Plate
What You Do:
- Give each of your children one color of construction paper (Johnny Red, Sarah Green,etc) Have them cut out their hand prints from the paper. Then have them exchange hand cut outs and make a friendship mult-color wreath (by gluing hands on paper plate). This is a great way of showing that you can put the works of different people together to make something fabulous
