Put small object in your sand table or other area. Let your children try to pick them up with clothespin. Write words, numbers, letters, etc on a clothespin. Write a corresponding word, number, letter near the top of a canister. Have your children match the word, letter, number, etc. and pin the clothespin on the top of the canister at its corresponding spot. Set up several coffee cans in row. Have your children take turns tossing ping pong balls or painted clothespins into them.
