Balloons can be a serious choking hazard. Many schools do not allow balloons into their schools for this reason. If you choose to do a project or game with balloons please use extreme caution and adult supervision

Make several sets of balloon pictures. Let your children match them by shape, color, size, or anything else they want to. Have your children hit their balloon up into the air. See who can keep their balloon off the ground the longest. The rules are they must continue hitting their balloons (they can't just hold it). Next try the same activity outside. See if your children think it is harder. Blow up several balloons attach them to the ceiling using yarn or fishing line (make sure they are low enough that your children can reach them). Let your children hit the balloons as often as they like. Hang balloons from the ceiling so that your children will have to stretch or jump to reach the balloons. Let them bat the balloons Let the children try to make animal balloons with the animals just like the real live clowns do.
