What You Need:
- Paper
- Paint
What You Do:
- Show your children pictures of the Olympic Rings. Have them paint their own Olympic Symbol using the colors of the ring (red, green, black, blue, and yellow)
Idea:
To make Olympic rings let your children
dip sink plungers (or toilet paper rolls) into paint and put on paper. Submitted

Under The Ocean

What You Need:
- Paper
- Glue
- Sand
- Saran Wrap
What You Do:
- Have you children create an ocean scene by spreading glue on the bottom of the paper and sprinkling sand on it. Next, they can cut out different sea creatures and attach them to the paper. Finally, cover the paper with blue Saran Wrap to make it look like it is under water.
The Opposite World

What You Do:
- Have your children to imagine living in an opposite world (Where little was big, up is down, etc) then have them draw themselves in that world
Olympic Flags

What You Need:
- Construction Paper
- Glue
- Paper Scraps or Paint
What You Do:
- Discuss with children about the opening ceremony and how the athletes from each country carry in their flag. Show pictures of flags from other countries. Discuss how all the flags are displayed at the arena during the entire Olympics. Then have your children make flags to display in your classroom during the olympics
Hand Octopus

What You Need:
- Paper
- Googly Eyes
- Finger Paints
What You Do:
- Let the kids put finger paint all over their hands (in any combination that they wish) then have them put a hand print on the paper. Next have them put another hand print overlapping the last but pointing in the opposite direction. The base of the hand creates the body of the octopus. The fingers make the tentacles.
Ocean In a Bottle

What You Need:
- Bottles (peanut butter jars, baby food jars, etc.)
- Sand
- Sea Creatures
- Rocks
- Water
What You Do:
- Let your children put sand and small rocks in a bottle. Then have them add small plastic sea creatures and grass (seaweed) Finally have them add water and salt. This makes a cute and fun "Ocean In A Bottle." Note: Super glue the lids shut so your children can not open them
Olympic Torches

- Toilet Paper Rolls
- Tissue Paper (Red, orange, and yellow)
- Paint
- Glue
What You Do:
- Show your children pictures of the Olympic torch. Then supply your children with the materials and let them create their own torch.
