Initials Hat

What You Need:
- Paper
- Glue
What You Do:
- Cut construction paper in the shape of a hat and then give each of your children different collage materials (colored paper pieces, macaroni, beans, buttons, etc) then let your children glue on their initials with the materials (like the initials on baseball hats)
Hula Skirt

What You Need:
- Paper Bag
- Scissors
- Yarn
- Stapler
- Paint
- Glitter
What You Do:
- Cut the Top off the bag. Then cut strips up leaving enough to fold over at the top. Fold the top over putting yarn on the inside of the fold. Next staple the top to hold the yarn in. The Yarn works as a belt to keep the hula skirt up when the children are playing. Next give the children the skirts and let them decorate their skirts. Make a few extra skirts as they occasionally tear.
Idea:
During "H" Week have your children make various kinds of hand prints
- Do hand prints in clay (click here for clay recipes)
- Use ink pads
- Use washable paint
- Have them trace and cut out their hands

What You Do:
- Cut the crate paper out, give the children the strips and let them paste it on the yarn. After dried tie around children like a belt.
My Paper Bag House

- Crayons/Markers
- Construction Paper

What You Do:
- Have the children create their house using a paper bag. They can draw windows, doors, and shrubbery. Creative kids may even make a roof out of the construction paper

What You Need:
- Wrapping Paper Tubes
- Cardboard
- Paint/Markers/Crayons
- Yarn
What You Do:
- Ask your parents to donate some Christmas Paper Rolls (if you can not get enough use rolled up newspaper instead). Cut out horse's heads (leave a neck to go inside the tube) from cardboard and let your children design their horse. They can paint them and use yarn for the mane and halter. Help your children attach them with glue and tape. No go out Ridin'!

What You Do:
- Have your children cut out two hearts. Have them attach the hearts at the points. Then have them cut small hearts for eyes, hands, and feet. Then have them cut out small strips of paper. Have them attach the hands and feet two the small strips and attach the other ends to the body. This makes a really cute "Heart Buddy"

What You Need:

What You Do:
- Cut out the center of a paper plate then attach a paper bowl to the plate. Let your children paint this as their favorite hat.
