Gingerbread People Name Tags

What You Need:
- Craft Foam
- Glitter
- Other Collage materials
What You Do:
- Cut out gingerbread people from the craft foam. Then let your children decorate them however they want (Provide them with collage material: glitter, Paper, buttons, etc). Finally write the children's names on them.

What You Need:
- Styrofoam Cup
- Paint
- Sand
- Popsicle stick
- Pompoms
What You Do:
- Cover the cup glue and then sprinkle sand on it. Take a Popsicle stick and glue a brown pompom (add googly eyes to the pompom) On the bottom of the cup make a small slit in bottom of cup and put the Popsicle stick through it. Now you can have your groundhog peak over the hill and see if it sees it shadow.
Grow Your Name with Grass

What You Need:
- Small Box (roughly half the size of a shoe box)
- Grass Seed
- Potting Soil
What You Do:
- Get small boxes, line them with plastic, and fill them with potting soil. Have your children scratch out their name in the soil. Have them sprinkle grass seeds into the name Gently cover it with soil and soon you will have their name growing in a garden
Paper Gardens

What You Need:
- Easter Grass
- Pipe Cleaners
- Paper
- Markers/Crayons/Paint
- Glue
- muffin liners
What You Do:
- Have your children glue grass on the paper and design their own gardens. They can choose to paint their own flowers, or use pipe cleaners or torn pieces of construction paper to form them. Additionally you can provide muffin liners from them to use as flowers.
Five Senses Gingerbread Art

What You Need:
- Sandpaper
- Crayons
- Cinnamon Sticks
What You Do:
- Cut out gingerbread men sandpaper and give them to your children. Allow them to decorate their Gingerbread man with crayons, and cinnamon sticks. The children will be able to smell and taste the cinnamon, feel the sandpaper, hear the scratching (of cinnamon and sandpaper), and finally see their gingerbread people

What You Need:

What You Do:
- Take your children on a field trip (or have them think about when they went) to the grocery store and then let them illustrate their favorite part of it.
Toilet Paper Roll Groundhog

What You Need:
- One 2" Brown Pompom per student
- Three small pompoms
- Googly Eyes
- Paint
- Tacky Glue
What You Do:
- Have children glue the
large pompom ball to a tongue depressor. Have the children use two of the smaller
pompoms for ears, and use another one for a nose. Next add googly eyes. Set
this aside to dry.
Finally Paint a toilet tissue roll or a cup like a hill (green paint). Then put the stick in the toilet paper roll and you can have your groundhog come out of the hill

What You Need
- Flour
- Cinnamon
- Salt
- Water
- Paint
- Ribbon
What You Do:
- Preparation
- Mix One Cup Flour, ¾ Cup Cinnamon, One Cup Salt, and One
cup water well. Roll the dough to about a half and inch in thickness.
Then cut
out Gingerbread People with a cookie
cutter.
Place these on a cookie sheet, then punch a hole in them (for hanging). Bake at 350 for about 23 minutes (more for thicker ornaments, less for thinner).

- Cut out two identical gingerbread people out of grocery bags. Glue them together putting cotton in-between. Now let your children decorate their gingerbread person
Gingerbread Person Ornament II

- Applesauce
- Cinnamon

- Preparation:
- Mix applesauce with enough cinnamon to form a dough.

- Give your children the dough and cookie cutters. Let them roll the dough and then cut out a gingerbread person shape. Help them make a hole. Now put them aside and let them dry overnight. Now provide your children with paint, ribbon, etc for decorating. This makes a great Christmas gift to parents
Grape painting
What You Need:
- Soda Bottle Caps
- Paint
- Twigs
- Brown
- Yarn
- Glue
What You Do:
- Have the children paint the bottle cap with grape colors then use it as a stamp, making a bunch of grapes. Use twigs or brown yarn glued on top of the grapes to make the stem
