Groundhogs Day, I looked around,
Saw my shadow on the ground
Yes I saw my shadow, when I took a peek
That means winter for six more weeks. Way deep down in a hole in the ground
Lived little Georgie Groundhog All furry and round.
Little Georgie Groundhog popped up one day,
He looked around and decided to stay.
But just as Little Georgie Started to play
Out popped his shadow and frightened him away.
Back down his hole Little Georgie sped Back to his home
Back to his bed! I'm a little groundhog. Fuzzy and brown
When winter comes. I sleep underground,
I'm curled up. As cozy as can be.
When it's spring. Please wake up me(Sung To: 'Ferec Jacques') Mr. Groundhog, Mr. Groundhog.
Are you there? Are you there?
Will you see your shadow?
We all want to know
On this day, Groundhog Day. Little groundhog down below
Underneath the wintry snow.
Come on out and tell us true
Is spring coming? Is winter through? (Sung To:"I'm A Little Teapot") I'm a little ground hog, short and stout.
On ground hog day I pop my head out.
If I see my shadow I don't come out.
I stay down in my hole and pout.

  I'm a little groundhog, furry and brown,
  See me pop while I look around,
  If I see my shadow, down I'll go
  Six more weeks of winter, oh no!

  I'm a little groundhog round and plump
  Here is my shadow here is my rump
  Oh I'm a little groundhog short and plump
  I see my shadow I see my rump.

One little, two little, three little groundhogs.
Four little, five little Six little groundhogs.
Seven little, eight little, nine little groundhogs.
Sleeping down under the ground. Mr. Groundhog, Mr. Groundhog,
Take a peek, take a peek.
If you see your shadow,
The weather will be wintry,
For six more weeks, six more weeks. Oh Mr. Groundhog, tell what you see
I see my shadow staring back at me
Winters not over I'm going back to bed
Six more weeks with the covers on my head Oh no, no please don't go
Winter's not over he's going back to bed
Six more weeks with covers on his head. Hey, Mr. Groundhog!
Sleeping groundhog, sleeping groundhog,
Today's the day; today's the day!
