The book begins with a simple letter to the zoo requesting a pet. As the child gets several pets the flaps reveal that most of the animals are inappropriate. Eventually the child gets the perfect pet...what is it well you'll have to read it to see. My preschoolers are always fascinated by the animals revealed when they lift the flaps up. This is a wonderful book for a zoo theme or a pet theme.
