The book begins with a bad tempered ladybug who refuses to share aphids with another ladybug. The grouchy bug continues through a series of event that makes the ladybug becomes a nicer, happier, better-behaved bug. This is a great book to discuss manners and social behaviors with your children

As with almost all Eric Carle Books the images (tissue paper and tempera collages) add a great effect and make the point of the book all that much more real.
