A biography of Willie Benton, a man famous for his snowflake
photographs. As a young boy Willie had a strong interest in nature
and the world around him. After receiving a microscope from his
mom he learned that each snowflake is unique. Willie tries to
draw individual snowflakes, but they melt before he can finish.
Willie is not able to share the beauty of the snowflakes until
his parents spend their savings to buy him a microscope with a
camera attached. Willie works hard to take beautiful pictures
for everyone to see. Willie eventually died from an illness caused
by the snow, but his photographs are in books and journals and
a monument has been constructed for him in his hometown
